General Osteopathic Treatment


I would like to propose to you a 4 seminar 2-day course, in rediscovering and exploring the GOT approach. I know 2 days is a bit tight, but I have confidence that in these 2 days I re-spark your interest and allow you to explore this approach. Sadly, over the years this approach has been lost and its importance and application as well.
To understand the GOT is so much more than just knowing and applying the techniques, it is a matrix for a holistic diagnosis, synthesis, integration and treatment, as well as a perfect tool to continue our osteopathic knowledge, and our personal career.
The aim and objective of this course is to invite you to be active and continue to explore the Osteopathic promise.



GOT: The History and The Routine as a Matrix
Part 1: 2-day seminar

Let’s go back to the basics, its principles and revisiting the GOT routine. The importance of palpation and its movements, discovering the new elements that come once you revisit an approach with experience. We’ll revisit physiology and the techniques and see how these concepts are integrated, interpreted and seen in a historical and practical context. We’ll investigate how we can convert some techniques into a holistic and general approach to the osteopathic promise. We will also see how we can integrate all other approaches into this approach therefore being a matrix for osteopathic treatment.

GOT: Cardiovascular System (CVS)
Part 2: 2-day seminar

It this seminar we will explore and integrate more specifically the CVS, the integration of this system in our osteopathic approach is key to our osteopathic principles and practice. We will see how we can adapt and change our focus to have a more profound effect on an essential life force and the self-healing and regulating system. We will see how the routine has a potential effect on its regulation and visit some techniques more specific to the lymphatics and venous system

GOT: Respiratory System (RS)
Part 3: 2-day seminar

During these 2 days we will go deeper into exploring the GOT. We will visit its influence on the respiratory system. How this system works and is linked to the neurology and physiology of the body. We will explore how the fluidic, neurological and mechanical influences of the container have effects on the content and vice versa.

GOT: Digestive Systemthat you can share with me this amazing osteopathic experience.  
Part 4: 2-day seminar

Finally, we work on the content. We will explore the physiological effects as well as how to modify the routine to have more effect on the digestive system.  We will visit how the content affects the container and how the container relates in a holistic manner.
We will visit a simple model for visceral osteopathy based on a mechanical input but always considering the other forms of visceral osteopathy. How they can all be implemented into the GOT matrix.

In reality, and all honesty, this course has been designed as a full module and not to be done as seminars. I believe that with every seminar we will build upon the previous one. The course is divided into practical and theoretical elements, and these will be balanced according to the participants’ needs and questions.  I encourage you to question, challenge and create a healthy space for debate and discussion, allowing us to share, learn and grow.
